Rectal discomfort: Rectal symptoms are not characteristic of those disorders. Proctitis, which is inflammation of the rectal lining, classically causes rectal symptoms. Of course rectal malignancies and internal hemorrhoids may cause rectal symptoms,also. Colitis usually causes diarrhea and may causes abdominal discomfort. what could cause pain when i press on a spot on my stomach just below my bottom left rib? i do have gerd, but no loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting etc,last endoscopy 6yrs ago only showed gastritis. i have use nsaids for migraines for yrs. cancer?

: What you described is not a sign of cancer. However, it is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without examining you. 
You can reduce your risk of cancer by adopting healthy habits: Eat a mostly vegetarian diet, avoid alcohol, tobacco and street drugs, avoid excessive exposure  to sun, exercise 30 minutes/day, maintain healthy weight drink enough water so your urine is mostly colorless.

See a Dr: Don't smoke. Avoid alcohol. Eat your vegetables. Exercise. Wear your seat belt. Behavior therapy will help you deal with OCD.

Doesn't correlate: There is little correlation of altered food preferences with specific cancers. Your taste has matured, that's all. A diet high in animal fat does however correlate with a higher incidence of gastrointestinal cancers.  So, you've actually decreased your risk by cutting back on meat consumption & probably saved a bundle on your food bill.

GERD is Chronic cond: Stomach cancer is unlikely to be the cause of your symptoms. it is not the first thing I would worry about. But you need to tell us if you are still taking your medication(Antacids) for GERD or have you stopped it? Most people need to continue taking antacids for the long haul as GERD is a chronic(life long) condition in most people. So try taking an antacid daily and hope the symptoms go away.

: Your anxiety and depression are more likely explanations for your symptoms. If you do not have cough or blood in stool, cancer is not likely. It is not feasible to rule out cancer without physical examination, imaging studies and may be a colonoscopy.

Evaluation: keep appointment for ultra sound and follow up with your doctor to find the cause so be treated, most likely it could be infection.
