my tongue has an orange coating a couple of days after a tooth extraction. i did not eat or drink anything orange. should i be concerned?

No worries: Not to worry. Likely some slight remnants of the bleeding . Try scraping your tongue with floss or your toothbrush. Easy way is to stick your tongue way out and then put the brush on top of tongue near the back and then pull your tongue back in. Better than shoving the brush way back in to the throat area. If it does not clear up , see the surgeon. Good Luck.

small orange/white bumps on the tip area of my tongue, burning sensation which worsens when trying to drink any liquid from water to coke or even milk?

Bumps on tongue: hello  ~ these painful bumps on the tongue occur very  frequently in all of us and they are usually due to reactivation of a virus we get as kids and is usually herpes 1 or coxsackie virus. Best treatment is triamcinolone acetonide 0.1% dental paste applied 3 -4 x a day. You will need a prescription for this. thanks

am i allergic to lemon? when i drink lemonade my throat feels like it has a sort of coating on it. when i do mouthwash and eat citrus candy my tongue feels weird. is that related or a different issue? how can i be allergic to lemon but not orange?

: How can you be sensitive to one food out of many in a group but not others? They are analogous but not homologous, similar but not identical. You would be advised to discuss your "allergy" with a specialist Allergist.

Unclear: "Lumps" in throat are difficult to ascertain what they are without physically visualizing them.  Need to be evaluated by physician.

why do i get blisters after everytime i drink orange juice? has never happened in the past. but blisters keep forming and popping inside my mouth 2day

Aphthous stomatitis: "Canker" sores become evident when exposed to any acidic material. They were already present. The juice did NOT cause them, only called your attention to them. Common aphthae are common and of unknown cause. If you have significant symptoms, see a dermatologist.

what could be the reason for yellow tinted/slight white layer on tongue? i have bad acid reflux, urinary problems, and don't drink much water.

White tongue common: The tongue is known to have many variations with pigmenting, size, appearance, ; not always due to disease. Causes of a tongue that looks white include: lichen planus (responds to steroids), white sponge nevus (familial, benign, permanent), smoker's leukoplakia (2% risk of cancer, needs biopsy), hairy leukoplakia (due to epsteinbarr virus), warts (due to papillomavirus), "thrush" (rx antifungals).

It is temporary: Our tongue is prone to get affected by what we eat and drink. There are many viruses that can cause sores on the tongue. Most often our immune system heals these afflictions.
If it is not better in 2-3 days take a short course of Vitamin-c, 500 mg, 1 tablets daily for one week. it is harmless yet, it may do you good as it improves the immune system.

drinking too much fanta orange will harm by baby?

Doubtful: I suppose any sugary drink that is consumed to excess might trigger  diabetes or enough weight gain to complicate delivery.However, by itself, i don't see fanta orange as toxic. A mom with a healthy metabolism will sort out the ingredients. The placenta has the ability to take some nutrients from mom's body even when she doesn't eat right.

i sometimes get headaches and a sour tongue and even after drinking pando i don't get well?

Accepted Answer

Mouth breathers : If this happens following sleep, it’s possible that you breath more through your mouth ( mouth breather ) and it’s possible that you may have obstructive sleep apnea ( someone will have to observe and see if your breathing is loud, and if it’s that is a clue): your tongue dries up during sleep and there is some build up of carbon dioxide that may contribute to headache.
