Start With Exam: The nipple anatomy includes nerves; also muscle fibers that contract in response to various stimuli such as exposure to cold temperatures, tactile stimulation, hormones (oxytocin), and more. Occurs in both men and women. Some women have frequent erections and this is usually benign. See your doctor for exam and to discuss management. Padded bras and soft silicone nipple shields are very helpful.

It is normal...: ....For there to be some asymmetry of the breasts.   Numb means without feeling.  If you touch your nipples and you can feel yourself touching them, they are not numb.  If you literally can't tell when something  (your finger or anything else) is touching your nipple, then see your doctor for an evaluation.

There are lots of other factors like family hx and cholesterol level etc. It is always a good idea to get it.

Rashes? Anyone in family with autoimmune conditions or rheumatoid arthritis? This kind of complaint likely needs a good history and physical exam by a physician.
