Reflux: Rather than truly vomiting, you may be experiencing reflux or eructations from a hiatal hernia, incompetent lower esophageal sphincter or other esophageal motility disorder. Follow a bland, low fat diet, avoid large meals and don't go to bed with food in your stomach. If symptoms persist a gastroenterologist is best qualified to evaluate and advise you.

: Relatively common concerns from mothers.  As long as your infant's weight gain has been adequate, be sure to burp regularly and to avoid overfeeding.

Possible: It may be caused by other issues like an acid reflex problem.  It can cause permanent damage to your teeth.  It may injure your esophagus (throat) leading to scarring or cancer.  Go see a physician to get it diagnosed and treated.

You need to see: a healthcare provider or emergency room doctor to help with your throwing up problem.   I don't know what jelly like bubbles look like but they may be undigested food or stomach contents from an atresia or diverticulum in your esophagus, like Meckel's diverticulum.  Or you may have a bezoar.  If it keeps happening then you are not getting rid of it on your own.

Maybe, or more...: Acalculous cholecystitis is ineffective/incomplete contraction of the gallbladder in response to cck, as seen on hida scan.Sphincter of oddi dysfunction, or biliary dyskinesia, is defined by bile duct manometry showing sphincter spasm, altered propagation/increased phasic contraction frequency (tachyoddia), paradoxical contraction response to cck. Your symptoms may however reflect added etiologies.

ER/UC-now: Please go directly to your local ER or UC clinic. You may have gastric , pancreatic or gallbladder disease: all of which require examination, diagnostic blood and ultrasound imaging. You  need medication to calm down your stomach and to treat nausea and vomiting. If you are a sexually active woman and having unprotected intercourse: get checked for pregnancy. Symptoms cannot be diagnosed online.

Regurgitation: GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease) =stuff from stomach (whether acid or not) regurgitates back into esophagus due to inappropriate relaxation of lower esophageal sphincter, impaired esophageal function (peristalsis), inadequate saliva, gastric outlet narrowing, gastroparesis, small bowel pathology, etc. Is quite common--see other HealthTap answers how to control this &amp; prevent consequences.

Accepted Answer

Depends on food: burps are a release of gas from the stomach (or lower) through the esophagus and out the mouth.  Most of this gas is from the air swallowed while eating or incorporated into the food.  It could also be the gasses released from a carbonated drink (CO2).
Assuming you are not having GERD or a gastric ulcer the taste is most likely from the foods eaten.  May be an altered taste from the stomach acid.

Reflux or cancer: Usually reflux, but only an ENT is going to  have the tools to rule out cancer.  Please find one in your area.
