Not sure.: In the 40's and 50's, women's bodies tend to become more "apple" shaped, retaining fat in the middle.
However if you feel your lower abdomen is unusually enlarged, please see a doctor!  this could be a sign of fibroids in the uterus, or even uterine or ovarian cancer.  Don't hesitate - check this out.

There : There can be a lot of reasons for this. I would follow up with your doctor. You want to make sure your pregnancy test is negative now. It can take some time after an abortion for your body to go back to where it was, at most about 6 months.

Go see your doctor: Best to go see your doctor for an evaluation. Could be ascites (abnormal fluid in belly), ventral hernia or diastasis rectus, even visceral adipose tissue (fat). A physical exam would go a long ways towards explaining your appearance. An ultrasound might be helpful, too.

hi how are you, my last period was january 24 2015. i took a plan b pill feb 2, 2015 and today is march 20, 2015. i have not had my period yet but my pregnancy test i took on march 16 says not pregnant. what do i do?

Wait it out: Your first missed period was around February 21.  A pregnancy test 3 weeks afer a missed period should be positive at this point if you were pregnant.  Try taking another pregnancy test or see your doctor for a blood test to confirm.  Make sure the pregnancy test was performed correctly and the test is not expired.

It depends: It depends based on the test you use.  Most OTC urine pregnancy test manufacturer will note on the box or insert how many days after sex you can expect the test to be accurate. Different tests are different.  On average, it can be detected 10 days after a missed menstrual period.

If concern, consider taking a blood/serum HCG test which is more reliable from your doctor's office/lab.

Yes: Second hand smoke can affect you and your baby. Not as much as you doing the smoking, but it can cause problems for you and your baby. Do him a favor and help him stop smoking.

Its elective: Some of the issues associated with Down's syndrome and spina bifida require specialty hospital/surgeons to be available, so knowing the results ahead of time will allow your physician to either have you deliver at those sites or consult someone before delivery

i am 38 years old. pregnant 11,6 weeks. the nt shows a variation from 2.6 to 3.0mm. and also a ducto venosos a negative. is that a normal range for nt?

Genetic screening: It appears that you are undergoing genetic screening. Typically the Nuchal fold is combined with blood testing to help determine the risk of genetic abnormalities. The impedance level through the ductus venosus is sometimes added as a screening tool. Schedule a follow up with your doctor to go over all of your results and so that your risk can be calculated
