When was surgery: Early after surgery you should talk to your surgeon.  If the surgeon was some time ago then you should see a gastroenterologist to see of something else is going on.

Post op nausea: You should meet with your surgeon to discuss.
But a small amount of discomfort , cramping , nausea and even pain at the port sites or in the abdomen is normal after this procedure

it may even be related to the pain medications, best to discuss with your surgeon.

Ginger for nausea: I don't believe milk helps with nausea but Ginger tea or gingerale will help nausea. Ginger tea is really strong so super slowly.  If you're nausea continues call your surgeon.

i had a laparoscopic cholecystectomy done 6 days ago due to my gallbladder functioning at 0% (no gallstones). each day since the surgery, my nausea has gotten worse despite the use of zofran, pepto bismol, etc. is this normal?

Complex problem.: By three months, you could reasonably expect that your symptoms should have been better after having your gallbladder removed. There could be many reasons for persistent nausea and tenderness.  You need further evaluation by your surgeon and your gastroenterologist to help sort through these. Good luck.

Unlikely: But very rarely known to re-connect , resulting pregnancy , see your doctor to find out the cause of your nausea

Many things: There are many things that could cause your symptoms, including gastritis.  If you have tried antacids without relief, it is time to see your gastroenterologist for a complete workup.

is gallbladder surgery pretty safe ?

Extremely safe: When done in an open procedure one must identify and divide the cystic artery and not mistake the hepatic artery for the former.  The cystic duct is then tied at the common duct and GB removed  Normally a laparoscopic procedure is used.  With marked inflammation the GB procedure should be done open.

Symptoms: See your doctor for an examination. Do you have upper abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, pains after eating, abdominal bloating and gas? Do you have gallstones on ultrasound? If you have these, then surgery may be helpful for you.
