why do i have a sore throat every morning?

Allergies or sinuses: If it is acute, viruses are a likely culprit. If this is somewhat of a chronic problem for you, post nasal drip caused by allergies or a sinus infection can give you a sore throat that is sometimes worse in the morning. Do you have any cough associated with your sore throat (perhaps also worse at night when you lay down)?

Possibly post nasal.: drip. You may suffer from mild congestion that leads to post nasal drip that doesn't drain while you sleep due to gravity and lying supine. As you get up and stand, the gravity helps with drainage. Try sleeping on an extra pillow at night and using saline nasal spray at night. If problem persists, see PCP.

Could be your heart: See your doctor. It could be your heart or acid reflux or something else. You need to be seen.

Sore throat: Throat is sore likely due to post nasal drip.  Try some Flonase in the nose 2 times a day.  May also be reflux but try the Flonase first.  May want to try some chloroseptic anesthetic throat spray for the throat when it hurts

Unlikely related to oral sex.

You noted that you : Have difficulty breathing when you lie down ; unequal air flow through nostrils. If you breath through your mouth when sleeping, throat ; mouth may be dry with thickened mucus. If you have post nasal drip, fluids may accumulate when supine. Allergies could also be an issue. Or you may have congestion which lessens after drinking hot beverage.  A medical eval. Would be likely to help differentiate.

Post nasal drip: You may have a post nasal, drip which becomes bothersome when you lie down at night  and is worse on arising. Use salt water nose drops for help.

Yes: Close contact with somebody who has an upper respiratory tract infection may well lead to its transmission to you.

Yes or: You may be a mouth-breather when you sleep and therefore your mouth would be dry and your throat could be sore.  Also medications may dry your mouth and irritate your throat. 

 If you try hydration without success, see your physician for an examination.

Depends: Sporadic smoking can cause sore throat.  Any amount of smoking can cause an increase in mucus production that could be off-white, greenish, brownish or clear.  If you are feeling fine otherwise, then you most likely don't have a cold virus.  If however you have a fever, chills, disruptive cough or other concerns, then you could have a cold or pneumonia and should see a healthcare provider.
