See beow: Even if you have had a normal period, make sure that you are or are not pregnant by doing a home test that ou can obtain at your pharmacy.  If negative, then see your physician for an evaluation for non-GYN causes.

This is a somewhat: unusual time to experience bloating/constipation/pain. These symptoms are commonly a part of the PREmenstrual symptom complex,but not so much afterward. I do suspect the right lower quadrant pain is related to GI function/constipation. Increase fiber/water in diet, consider psyllium supplements to help with constipation. I would also discuss with your doctor to decide if any tests needed.Stay well

Irregular periods: Irregular periods are one of the most common problems obgyns treat. If this is one time problem it usually resolves on its own. If this is a recurring problem you should be evaluated. Infections ;  hormonal changes can cause spotting. If there is a concern for pregnancy then do  a home pregnancy test .  There are many options available to help regulate the menstrual cycle. Schedule a visit.

Estrogen only menses: At age 50, you are probably not ovulating any longer and your periods are estrogen only(no progesterone) which is notorious for fluid retention. You should soon be peri menopausal and may be "skipping" periods at this point, exacerbating the problem. If the fluid(bloating) is still present one week post menses see your GYN MD for causation and get examined for ovarian issues including cancer.
