Wisdom Teeth: The teeth that are trying to erupt or come in at the back of your mouth are most likely impacted wisdom teeth.  A clinical examination accompanied by a panoramic x-ray can confirm if the tooth is an impacted wisdom tooth that is partially exposed in the mouth.

Get an exam: While blood blisters aren't usually worrisome, it would be potentially reassuring to get it checked out by an oral surgeon to try to figure out why it recurs like that. There is no substitute for a hands on exam.

A few thoughts...: Most problems need to be diagnosed via a complete medical history and a physical exam. Your pain may be coming from your teeth, your sinuses, TMJ problems, and grinding, just to name a few. You'll need to be seen by a local dentist to rule out any problems with your teeth or jaw, and your physician for all other issues. Feel better soon...

Should come out!: If you are like most people, there is not enough room for your wisdom teeth to grow in properly. Many individuals have a pocket of gum around a partially grown in wisdom tooth that traps food and become periodically infected, this in your case the episodic nature of your problem. Best to be proactive and get them removed! Avoid the periodic pain and potential problems with adjacent teeth.

i've been told that i need a deep cleaning, but do i really? i went to a new dentist in my new town last week, and he told me i needed to come back for a deep cleaning. i've always taken great care of my teeth, and have never needed this procedure before.

Periodontal : Periodontal disease can be a painless process.  Simple because you don't "feel" anything, does is not indicate the treatment required.  A current full set of radiographs and periodontial probings (which measure the depth of the pockets of the gums around each tooth) will indicate the severity of the problem.  The deeper the pockets, the more dense the build up, and the amount of bone loss, will all determine whether scaling (deep cleaning) is needed.  Left untreated, you may not notice anything abnormal until you develop a periodontal abscess or tooth mobility, which can lead to tooth loss.  The types of bacteria that causes periodontal disease is different from the types that cause decay.  Therefore, if you do not have any fillings that does not mean that you can not have periodontal issues.

Thankfully, no: Teeth do not regenerate. Once the tooth is extracted, it is gone forever. If the future, there may be a way to artificially do that, but not yet.

Not really: Unless your face is swollen now due to an infection from your wisdom teeth I do not believe there will be any correlation between your dimples and wisdom teeth removal.

Sometimes: Teeth may move after brackets come off. Make sure you always use your retainer

Treatment: Pain is your body's way of telling you there's something wrong.  Pain can come and go, but ignoring problem may lead to serious consequences.  Pills may offer temporary relief, but will NOT cure the problem.  See you Dentist or a Oral Surgeon if you want resolution.  Don't see Dentist and expect it to get worse.
