Not necessarily: this is a pretty vague question. Typically grilled over fried is a bit better for cholesterol and calorie intake. But microwaved has a whole other question of cooking all the way through etc.

Short term;long term: If no j-tube (feeding tube), oral diet will be started with clear liquids &amp; slowly advance to solid food. Eating small, frequent (6-8) meals is usually a good idea as is avoiding greasy and fried foods. Gradually increase raw fruits and vegetables. 8-10 cups water/day, but limit liquids with meals. Consider high calorie beverages: smoothies/supplement drinks. Pancreatic enzymes/vits may be needed

"Elimination": Diets...which avoid the possible offending foods with "control periods" inbetween  diet changes. See an allergist for a "program"!

Esophagus: The esophagus is the tube that connects the throat to the stomach.  When you eat, food passes down the esophagus to get into the stomach. Coordinated smooth muscle contractions in the esophagus wall help propel the food down the esophagus.  In the elderly, these muscles may become weak and discoordinated, making it more difficult for the food to get down.  There are other reasons, see your MD.

Get evaluated : Infants with poor feeding should be carefully evaluated for any physical problem including reflux or food intolerance, and appropriate weight gain must be assured.  Solid food refusal is often a result of excessive formula a juice intake.
