Possible bleeding: Aleve (naproxen) can cause bleeding in the stomach that can result in dark or black sticky stools that can resemble tar.  Stop the aleve (naproxen) and see a doctor immediately to check if you are having serious bleeding.

If the underlying cause is fixed, it usually resolves with time.
