Have proper Rx: As long as your have proper prescriptions for any medication that shows up in a drug screen, you don't have to worry.

i took 15mg methadone a week ago, will it be out of my system for a drug test only a week of my last dose? please help. if not, how can i get it out?

Depends: If this was a one time use, it should be clear in a week, but if it was long-term it's less certain. Half-life range top is 48hrs, so you're probably good - but don't use it w/o Rx and that should satisfy a drug tester. It's good you care and use that motivation to stay clean! Best wishes.

Unclear on question: Do you mean how long would it take to get to therapeutic levels? That would be within the first day or two, and 80 is a hefty dose. T has a long half life, and will be in your system for as long as you take it. If that does not answer the question, I do apologize but i hope that helps!

Methadone half-life: The half-life of Methadone is 15 to 60 hours. It takes five times the half-life  to leave your system. Therefore it could take anywhere between 75 hours to 300 hours to clear your system. This is with chronic use. The half-life for most people is approximately 25 hours meaning that would take approximately five days and five hours to leave your system completely.

Long time: Methadone is very fat soluble and stays in your fatty tissue for a long time. If you have been taking it chronically then it may still there is a good chance it will still be there next wednesday. The real question is why you have taken methadone. If you were taking it to get high, that is a very bad choice. Methadone will get you dead before it will get you high.

Methadone: Methadone is one of those drugs where it's almost impossible to say when it will be completely washed out of your system - essentially because it has a ton of metabolites and a huge half life window. Could be as little as 2 days or 2 weeks. Hope that helps!

Several possiblities: Three commonly used medications can cause false positive methadone tests on the screening test - two antihistamines commonly used - diphenhydramine (Benadryl®) and doxylamine (Unisom®).  Also, Seroquel® (quetiapine), a commonly used antipsychotic and anti-anxiety medication can do this. However, confirmatory tests should show that it is a FALSE positive.

Methadone: It depends on a number of factors: body weight, metabolism, amount used, etc. It is metabolized slowly and can "sit" in fats. The average time it takes to get "out of the system" is ~4-7 days. But it can still be detected in the urine or blood for up to 6 weeks after the last dose.
