Normal: this is probably just a normal response to the exercise which requires your heart to be faster and more forcefully. However if you feel it is abnormal get a cardiac stress test if your doctor thinks it is advisable

Call your doctor: Depends on what is being treated. Metoprolol can be used to treat high blood pressure and palpitations/rapid heart rate. The maximum daily dose for metoprolol is more than what you have taken, however i would strongly advise against taking any prescription medication other than as prescribed without consulting with your treating physician.

Some possibilities: I have seen this  symptom with atypical  migraines and with sinus  problems.  If the symptom persists more than a few weeks, you should see your PCP or an ENT doctor

i have a stabbing pain in the arc of my right foot (underneath). when i walk i feel the muscles stretching as i lift my foot then when i stop walking it feels like pulsing stabs right in the middle (arc).

Plantar fasciitis : Your description is pretty typical of plantar fasciitis. Rest, icing and use of NSAIDs may help (ibuprofen, Aleve). Wearing slippers or going barefoot may aggravate symptoms or may result in a recurrence of symptoms. Thus, the first step out of bed should be made wearing a supportive shoe or sandal. Also wearing shoes with arch support may help.

Look at thyroid: For work up, if her pulse if still over 100, make sure it's not due to overactive thyroid, or from dietary caffienated drinks, like coffee, or sodas (like 7 up, mountain dew, squirt, coca cola, pepsi). Also, have her do relaxing things that can calm her mind and then calm her heart 2, like meditation, yoga, stretching, winding down in the evening, turn the computer off. Sometimes reduce salt helps.
