Antihistamine: You can try an antihistamine like loratadine or benadryl (diphenhydramine). However if it persists you really need to see a doctor and have some blood tests done to make sure everything is okay with your liver. Liver damage can cause itching.

Possible dry skin: For the next two weeks i would try using no soap at all on your back and if possible shower every other day. Put a moisturizing cream on your back before you go to bed and the lotion in the morning. If that doesn't work you should see your internist or a dermatologist.

Itching with no rash: The list of conditions that could cause itch without rash is long, like thyroid problems, liver or kidney disease, even malignancies among others.  Need a complete workup including a chest xray, urinalysis and stool exam for ova and parasites x 3. Also small red bumps that come and go could be a type of urticaria (hives) that is very itchy. Please see your doctor right away for proper diagnosis.
