Medical workup: These sensations appear to be muscular in origin and can be seen in a variety of conditions e.g. Chiari malformation, dermatomyositis, tension myositis, psycho-social stress, depression, suppressed anger, post traumatic stress disorder, spinal deformity, spinal cord tumors, the list goes on. If symptoms persist see your primary care physician for a medical workup.

Basically no: Brain tumors can produce sensory stuff but it's always more or less localized. Do you think you might be hyperventilating? Have you had a chemical profile?

: Best  approach to  "make it better" is to uncover  the cause.  See your doctor and get evaluated for potential peripheral neuropathy or  even a demyelinating  disorder.  This has no relationship to prior  heroin,  not used  for  10 yrs.

When you say the areas are "more painful," do you mean allodynia, hyperpathia, dysesthesia or hyperalgesia? (The idea is now for you to look up those terms and try to determine which 1 (or more) applies to you.)

Probably muscular: The neck and low back are covered with small muscles.  These get stretched and bruised with regular movement.  Small nerves travel through these muscles to the arms and legs.  Spasms of these muscles can pinch the nerves and cause numbness and tingling.  The muscles will feel sore when you massage.  A good medical evaluation would be appropriate.
