IBS is common: Lots of americans have ibs--which can manifest with abdominal pain, diarrhea, constipation, and/or alternating stools.  Unfortunately, the symptoms are non-specific and can instead indicate a number of inflammatory or infectious processes.  The rome 3 criteria are a constellation of tests that give your doctor considerable accuracy in distinguishing ibs & treating symptoms with diet +/- medicines.

i can see my left side colon move up and down and other parts of colon, i have ibs but never had it before had camera etc thats all they found?

: When you say you had camera, I assume you mean a colonoscopy. What you are seeing is probably contractions of your bowel. This is normal and is more likely to be observed in someone who is thin.

my stomach has been distended for 2 1/2 months. is there a way to see if my stomach is large because of ibs or maybe reproductive. 2 months seems long?

Distended stomach: If  concerned about  pregnancy check  HCG . Would also  consider a sonogram  which would also view the ovaries make sure no cysts, masses, and uterus for  fibroids . Iif all negative consider CT to look at the other structures of the abdomen, liver, pancrease (pancrelipase) , kidneys and space. Food intolerences,  constipation, weight gain,  low thyroid can cause bloating check TSH,CMP,CBC  , f/u w/ doc

Maybe: It can be stressful to have a chronic condition where you may need to find a bathroom often. Most affected adults will learn which foods to avoid and how to scope out available facilities so you are not caught out in public without a plan. I would make a list of your symptoms/aggravating factors &amp; discuss it with your doc. Most do not need medicines to manage, they just need a plan.

Many: Irritable bowel syndrome has many treatments but can still be frustrating. First overall be sure to eat healthy foods and focus on high fiber foods, or take a fiber supplement. Stay hydrated. Exercise and watching stress can help. Over the counter enteric coated peppermint oil have good studies supporting its use for ibs. Lemon balm, an herbal can help. And several prescription drugs can help.

Probably mucous: The film you are describing is something that is not soluble in water. This could be fat, which you had tested, and it could also just be mucous. Cells in the large intestine secrete mucous, just like other cells in the body. It could also be something you are eating which is not digestible. You would have to keep a diary of foods to figure this out.

Can't answer that: Without evaluation. However, retained fecal matter when constipated can increase body weight.
