: You have a canker sore[apthous ulcer] which is from anxiety, stress or high acidic food or liquid intake. It goes away in 5-7 days. It can be treated with OTC medications at pharmacy. Sore throat and coughing are from another problem, if continues see your doctor.

See your dentist soo: It could be something as simple as a sialolith, which is a calcified obstruction in your salivary duct or some other lesion.
If theis " thing" that you refer to has been there for over two weeks, then you need to see your dentist soon.

"Thing": "Thing" may be any one of hundreds of different oral lesions.  You need to be examined to determine the identity of your oral lesion.  Once diagnosed, the appropriate treatment can be administered.  Instead of suffering, make an appoint meant with your Dentist.

Salivary stone: Swelling under your tongue may be due to a distal salivary gland stone. Sialolithiasis (salivary gland stones) is the most common disease of the salivary glands. Almost half of the submandibular stones lie in the distal third of the duct (located under the anterior tongue) and are amenable to simple surgical release through an incision (cut) directly onto the stone.  I suggest seeing an ent.

This area can be traumatized easily if you do any activity that over uses you tongue. I.e Oral Sex, sucking lollipops, eating rough or salty candy. If this area is giving you problems, doesn't seem to be healing, or you can't recall any reason for this to be sore, see a dentist

Dental exam needed: Possible source of bleeding could be gum tissue.  Recommend seeing a dentist and having an exam done to determine source of bleeding.

Absolutely: The abscess can travel down your neck into your chest causing severe problems. If your tongue swells enough it can block your airway and you can choke. Please see a physician immediately.
