IBS...: Passage of ano-rectal mucous in the absence of other symptoms, is usually a benign symptom seen in patients with ibs (irritable bowel syndrome).  If you are having severe diarrhea, anorectal pain or blood in the stools you should see your doctor. Good luck!

i suffer with constipation and when i poop theres this stringy pink ish mucus on it. is that from the constipation?

: Constipation can be due to many causes, from not drinking enough water to not eating enough fiber and bulk in meals; Holding on to stool for too long because one is too busy or the timing inconvenient to stool. There are also issues with eating highly processed foods and not exercising enough.  Best to see the Gastroenterologist at this time to streamline issue and get back on health track.

Continue nursing: Continue nursing, but if the baby is formula fed, there may be a milk intolerance. Discuss possible causes with your Pediatrician. Usually if the growth and abdominal examination are normal, the symptoms are not as concerning. The stool may be sent for further analysis including detection of blood in the stool.

i checked my stool , i know it sounds weird but i found on a couple occassions now gooey worm type stringy things like mucus is this normal?

Wiggling?: If they wiggle they are worms!  Ha, ha: joke (mostly) Yes you can have mucus in stool sometimes. If you have pain or bleeding and mucus that is NOT normal and you should get checked.  Eat a lot of blueberries and drink blue drinks,  Then your stool will look a whole lot more interesting and kinda cool looks (polkadots with blue fuzz)

Ans: Well if this has been going on for long time I would assume you have had a conscious and lab work. I would also assume you are taking some kind of stool softener a since your issue seems chronic?  Best here to see your doctor get another evaluation and colonoscopy first.

See md: several possibilities including infection, parasites, inflammation, polyps, etc.Tumors/cancers less likely at your age, but not impossble.Dark red blood is a more concerning symptom/sign. Get examined

Bowel irregularity: Sometimes the bowels get upset. Need more information, Age, part of world, other meds, diseases.
Usually bowel consistency changes with diet. Have you eaten differently ?  Any seafood? Shellfish? Water contamination, out of country?
Need more information.
Probiotics by mouth at the pharmacy are useful for getting the gut back on tract after a normal doctor exam.
