Maybe: mainly the white spots are on the inside of the cheeks, but can be on the throat too, strep throat is different in that the spots are round and smaller, thrush is rather flakes, besides the soreness with strep throat

No: allergic rhinitis won't cause white spots on the back of your throat or discolor your to tongue, it can cause irritation of your throat from the post nasal drainage , if you have sore throat with the above symptoms better see your doctor, also you might be a mouth breather due to blocked nose, that can lead to discoloration of your tongue, better see your doctor to help you with the cough &amp; insomnia

Sore throat or not?: If sore throat, go see your Family Doc to discuss testing for Strep. If not, this may be normal for you. If you engage in unprotected oral sex, then you should get tested for sexually transmitted diseases/infections too.

Acute pharyngitis: You have a 'sore throat' or what we call acute pharyngitis. Even though you don't have tonsils, you can still get 'Strep' as well as any other number of infections (viruses mostly). I would recommend going to a doctor to get a throat culture-then, you can get the best treatment once the cause is identified. Please stop: Please stop trying to diagnose yourself.  If you have Herpangina you would probably also have an acute fever.  You can't see the back of your Uvula without putting a mirror behind it.  Your symptoms suggest an infection, so go see your Family Physician.  Let him/her do the diagnosis and treatment plan.  You'll be glad you did.

See a dermatologist: Bleaching creams, peels or lasers can help lighten/remove these spots.  See a board certified dermatologist.

Possible vasculitis: Petechiae may be blanching or non blanching. ie goes away when you press on it and then returns when you let go vs. not going away. Low platelets are a cause but not the only cause.  Vasculitis or inflammation of the blood vessels may also do this.  Normal platelets does not rule out this possibility.  Its not normal to have petechial rash and needs workup with an internal medicine doctor

Sounds like a sinus : Problem. May not require antibiotics as usually don't give early unless meet specific criteria but there are comfort measures doc can provide for you. Feel better!
