Symptom changes: Strep and other forms of sore throat may diminish in severity without treatment. That doesn't alter the potential for complications of untreated strep to occur. Oropharyngeal gonorrhea can also present as a sore throat.  The physical appearance can often aid an experienced examines in diagnosis but often throat swabs and lab tests are required for accurate dx.

See your  MD: It would  very hard to tell  what  the spots  are from  the description.  If you have been  exposed to  STDs  and/or have  spots on you tonsils you  should  be checked by a physician. It  is  be  the  safest and easiest  way  to find out what is  going on.

Could be several: Chlamydia, gonorrhea, possibly syphilis (although would need to see the lesions).  Strongly suggest you see a doctor and be thoroughly tested.  If you get one std there is a significant likelihood you will have more than one.  Hiv included.

Tonsillitis: Spots on the tonsils usually do mean tonsillitis.  The spots associated with tonsillitis can be white, tan, yellow, green or even grey or purple.  The most common causes of tonsillitis include strep, mono and other common bacteria.  Stds can also cause tonsillitis, but these are less common.  The only way to definitively determine the cause if the infection is with a culture.  You should be seen.

: This scenario does not seem like that of HPV and more like part of ejaculate since it gets washed out. Best that both of you get tested for HPV

Sure it's strep? : It could be a viral infection.  Was a culture positive for strep? These are more likely viral symptoms or remotely strep.  Certainly not std.  Trust your doctor,  and follow her advice.
