Wound : Wound drainage, especially green slime, should probably be rechecked by your doctor asap.  May be a wound infection.  May be treated with antibiotics and opening the wound to wash it out.

a week after stitches were removed on surgery to index finger, the general area of the wound is now very slowly oozing yellow-ish fluid. is it ok?

Hmmmm...: A sutured wound should heal and should not be draining a yellow discharge.  Be sure to have the area looked at by the doctor and get evaluated for a possible infection to be safe.  Best wishes.

Let me help: If the oozing is minor and have no redness and swelling that will be fine, it should get less with time, you could clean with hydrogen peroxide with no problems.Good luck, thank you.

Depends, BUT....: Overall health and extent of injury make an enormous difference in healing and recovery.  I would say 2 months later might be a bit much.  See you doctor!

Maybe/not: If the wound gapes it may need a stitch or 2 but most of that size that don't do not. They generally need to be cleaned &amp; monitored for swelling or drainage that could indicate infection. Most will seal over in a few days &amp; heal without incident.

Abscess treatment: Return to the doctor or clinic where the abscess was drained. It might require additional drainage and/or an antibiotic (or different antbiotic if you're already taking one). Good luck.

my cut is oozing blood in clots after stitches have been gone for 5 days. it's scabbed over but no infection. is this normal?

Oozing blood after s: Where is the wound ? and how deep it was? 
The clots coming though would indicate that under the skin repair you have an hematoma, as time goes on the clot will undergo further lysis and the hematoma will liquify. You should have an Doppler/ultrasound, obtain the size of the cavity, and if you have a cavity of 4 x 4 in my opinion if the cavity is present, must be re-explored, remove all skin sutur

Not Normal: This is abnormal and should be evaluated by your surgeon. Retained stitches/foreign object is a possibility...

Recheck: Cetainly call the physician who performed the surgical repair and make an appointment for a recheck and a wound culture. Are you taking antibiotics now??

NSAID: Usually that is not a significant source of pain. However, if it is really bothersome than consider use of acetominophen or a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory. Acupuncture can also help.
