Oral cancer: If you're worried about oral cancer, see your Dentist for an oral cancer exam (can't be done over the computer).  Know that if you do not abuse alcohol and don't smoke (anything), your chances of oral cancer are relatively low.  So go see your Dentist if for mother other than peace of mind...priceless.

Seasonal flu: Seasonal flu is very common viral infection with symptoms you have described. Usually the condition resolves on its own with home care. Drink water and get a good rest. NSAIDs (e.g. Aleve) are also recommended every 6 hours. Try to quit the tobacco use, good opportunity. If concerned, see your PCP after 6 days or so.

The surface of: The tongue is covered with papilla (which can resemble bumps).  They are your taste buds.  They can vary in size.  If they are painful please consult with your dentist.  Brushing your tongue as part of your oral hygiene regimen is beneficial.  Hope this helps.

Start by having a thorough cleaning or your whole mouth including gums and cavities, using a tongue scraper sold at any pharmacy over the counter. See a dentis.
