Tx often consists of incision and draining of pus, heat, rest, and possible antibiotics. Recurrent axillary abscess'  are called hidradenitis supprativa, responds to sugery, laser, and restriction of close shaving practices.

One or many?: If this is from a single lesion, then it may just be a pimple-like issue. If there are multiple lesions especially if the pubic area is also involved, then this an inflammatory issue of the hair follicles. Sometimes regular use of an antiperspirant would help others may need regular intake of an antibiotic. See dermatologist if lesions are persistent.

1.5 weeks ago i awoke to a cluster of 15 red, itchy bumps on arm. since then, awake with 1-3 new itchy bumps on both arms. some red, skin colored, or clustered. now i have a red, smelly rash on buttcrack. related? immune issue? derm dr not available?
