ADHD:  Was this an on-line ADHD assessment? If yes, please don&#x27;t accept that as a diagnosis. More goes into make the diagnosis than taking a survey. ADHD is one of the most over-diagnosed conditions  in this country &amp; stimulants are some of the most over-prescribed medications. If you get evaluated by an appropriate medical professional - they can direct you as to how to get the medication assessment.

No mental health: condition includes ADHD.  If you still wonder about that you can see a neuropsychologist or clinical psychologist for a second opinion.  If the psychiatrist didn't test you the psychologist can.  Peace and good health.

The most important thing to do is to be diagnosed early and seek proper care. To be diagnosed your primary care physician will administer specialized questionnaires and then begin the process.

Nothing: Replaces a face to face consultation with a psychiatrist to evaluate, rule out any medical conditions &/or contra-indications, diagnose and treat someone with adhd, inattentive type. Shrink/neurologist: Many of the meds used with ADHD are controlled drugs, closely monitored by the Feds and state. Your doc can loose his/her license by prescribing any form of treatment for any condition which his/her records do not back up with proper testing/exam and diagnosis.Get a referral to a neurologist or psychiatrist willing to assess and treat adult ADHD.

ADHD: Not necessariy. Try other options first, for instance daily aerobic exercise for 40 plus minutes can improve concentration and focus significantly. Supplementing with omega 3's can also be helpful in addition to learning techniques to increase concentration. If your focus does not improve consult with a mental health professional who specializes in adhd treatment.

Time for consultatn: This is something you must have evaluated by a physician.You can schedule a visit, but write down all your symptoms and questions before you go to be sure you remember them all. After an evaluation, you and your doc can decide what and if treatment is needed.
