Many: Most common cause is a nearby infection or irritation causing the lymph nodes to enlarge, such as cold, flu, sore throat, ear ache, or dental/tooth problems. Sometimes scalp irritation can also cause enlarged cervical lymph nodes. Less common is lymphoma. Would need to see your doctor if the lymph nodes persist and do not resolve.

We all have lymph ..: Nodes, and radiologists see them all the time.  The challenge is separating definitely benign from lymph nodes that need to be further evaluated.

Although no one can be 100% sure (nothing is in medicine), the description you list in the report (non enlarged, incidental probably reactive lymph nodes) is most consistent with a benign diagnosis.  Please discuss your concerns with your doctor.

Exclude syphilis: secondary, or latent, syphilis must be ruled out in the evaluation of painless lymphadenopathy

is it normal for me to be able to feel lymph nodes on the neck, under jaw, groin and under my chin? i don't have to dig for them and there pea sized. i've had them all for 6 months and they havent changed and i'm very slim too. should i be concerned?

: These could be old burnt out lymph nodes from mononucleosis or some other prior viral infections, but for peace of mind get examined by a physician and have a cbc &amp; differential cell count. Any other appropriate tests will depend upon results of your history,system review and physical examination.

i got hit on the neck right below my jaw where my lymph nodes are by a piece of wood when moving furniture. can this cause a stroke im scared.

Neck trauma stroke: It is possible for neck injury to cause damage to the arteries that send blood to the brain.  Fortunately in most people these tissues are pretty resilient. Signs of a stroke would include difficulty speaking, moving, or asymmetry of the face. That's an emergency and should lead to a 911 call.

Lymph nodes can: be an annoyance or a sign of real disease.  If it does not bother you with pain or obstruction or such, just watch it hopefully start getting smaller over the next few weeks. Monitoring Centers: Lymphatic system absorbs/carries things too big to go into the arteries/veins like bacteria eaten by white cells and digested food. Lymph nodes "taste" lymph for anything bad like bacteria/viruses/cancers, etc. They enlarge in response to inflammation created when they react.  They shrink when all is well. They are in chains besides the arteries/veins running along both sides of back of your neck.

Have it checked out: Lymph nodes that are swollen and painful constantly may be a reflection of chronic infection. The enlarged lymph nodes may also be a manifestation of lymphoma which is a type of cancer that affects the white blood cells and is localized to the lymph nodes. This should be evaluated by your doctors.
