30.5 weeks pregnant. did lots it house work. i went to the bathroom saw some light yellow snotty discharge. no contractions today. (over the week i had light menstrual cramping and pressure, some tightening). should i go to the hospital?

:  Normal physical activity can not harm a pregnancy. A discharge like this is of no concern. No need to go to hospital. Bleeding would be a reason to seek medical attention.

Not quite: Generally, if you are at or near full term (40wks/ close to your due date) with an uncomplicated pregnancy, you should wait until your contractions are consistently 5 min apart before you go to the hospital. If your water breaks, you have heavy bleeding, or if your baby is not moving, you should go to the hospital immediately. Good luck and congrats!

?? Labor: If you are not sure of what is going on, you should call your doctor or just go to labor and delivery at your hospital.  It is always safer to be evaluated and find that everything is ok, than to wait until it is too late.

Talk with your doc: This is highly variable, depends upon how many previous childbirths (if any) and how far away you are from the hospital and many other factors like how far along you are.  Prepare ahead of time and discuss this with your doc or midwife early in pregnancy.

Painful contraction: Would go now, if it is not time they will send you home, but birth is a big deal and best done in the hospital so go now.Do not be concerned .

The : The best advice would be to call your obstetrician.  They can advise you on when to present to the hospital.  If a pregnant woman thinks she is having contractions, the patient is usually right, and it would be reasonable to have this evaluated to see if you are in labor.  Obviously if there is any fluid leak then you would need to go in as well.   I wish the best to you for your delivery.

Timing: The concept of "regular" refers to the frequency of the contractions and generally would give you a time between to look for.They can be every ten minutes and not be considered a specific problem yet, but some ob's i work with want you to come in if there is 5 minutes or less between the tightening you feel.

Contractions : What you are describing is more similar to real contractions than to Braxton hicks contractions and may need to go to the hospital very soon.

Probably...: In general we recommend going to the hospital if you are spotting.   An exception to this would be if you just had intercourse.  Best wishes!
