is it bad to feel cold senation in my head & burning sometimes?

Don't know: It depends on where you feel it, it could be an early shingles infection or a pinch nerve or dental problem. To get a better idea would have to know how long, when it started, other medical problems and was there any history of trauma, my guess is whatever the issue it is it is not serious to warrant immediate medical attention however you should see a physician as soon as you can.

Normal w/ infection: If symptoms persist more than 5 days see your doctor. Stay well hydrated, rest and can try tylenol (acetaminophen)  or Ibuprofen as long as there is no contraindication to taking.

i've been coming down with a cold and this morning when i woke up i coughed and i had a terrible burning sensation in my back. ?

Probably muscular: A cough is a pretty forceful motion.  It may be as simple as muscle strain from the energy of the cough.  Also, viral illnesses can make you ache all over.  However, if you have continued cough or cold symptoms and pain, see your doctor to make sure it's just a cold and not a pneumonia or other illness more complicated than a cold.

i keep getting these sudden hot and cold patches on my head. they come on randomly and make a patch of my head feel suddenly hot and burning to freezing cold and fluctuate between them both until the sensation wears off. should i be worried?

Nerve dysfunction: hot or cold sensations are controlled by nerves in the skin. A variety of underlying issues can cause this sensation. Alcohol related neuropathy, diabetes, hormonal changes, nerve damage, and MS. It might be wise to see a DR for a full workup. Keep a diary of when it happens and anything that was going on at that time: Diet, exercise, period, sleep, anxiety, alcohol/drug consumption, etc.

: Any fever? Are you overdressed? Any medication, street drugs,hot foods or spices, anxiety or stress?  If this is a continual symptom see your physician for an evaluation including checking for an overactive thyroid.

See your doctor.: Feeling excessively hot may be a sign of a number of different conditions, including hyperthyroidism. An overly-active thyroid will cause your body's metabolism to operate at a higher rate than is healthy. Your doctor can check your thyroid function with a simple blood test, and this condition (if it is what you have) is very treatable.

Age? : Need to know your age.  Also consider measuring your temperature when this happens.   Any bladder symptoms?

Take temperature: Often a person may feel hot or cold but when the temperature is taken with a thermometer it really is normal. If not your husband should see a doctor and find out why.
