Normal w/ infection: If symptoms persist more than 5 days see your doctor. Stay well hydrated, rest and can try tylenol (acetaminophen) or Ibuprofen as long as there is no contraindication to taking.

Infection: The "shaking chills" or rigors can come from when a virus or bacterial infection is occurring in your body, and the body is trying to fight off the infection as it rises and falls in your circulatory system. Sometime, with viremia, the body eventually fights it off and you get well. If bacteria causes your systems, you will need medical treatment, so see a dr. If it persists.
