What doc prescribed: If this was prescribed, the dose the doctor wants you to take is on the prescription, and your pharmacist can further explain how to use it.  If it was not prescribed, then ZERO would be the right dose for you.  These are not questions anyone should be asking anyone other than the prescriber and their pharmacist. No: You are not.  Give your doctor a chance to guide your care. Give the new medicine three days and see.  If it's better, great! if not, keep your doctor abreast. Keeping a positive attitude, and faith in their caring for your well-being will go a long way to getting better.  Dosage for different medicines is not as critical as trust, judgment, and experience.

It depends: Even among experts the notion of opiate equivalences can be considered controversial especially if one becomes overly specific.   Genetic and other contextual variable including the amount and duration all play a role.   This is not a question for you to try and figure out.  It is challenging enough for your physician!

If you are dependent: on oxycodone, and you take Suboxone BEFORE you are in active withdrawal, you will very much wish you had waited!!  SUboxone will cause precipitated withdrawal in people who are not already in withdrawal, and precipitated withdrawal is far more severe than naturally developing withdrawal, and can actually be life-threatening, with seizures, delirium and very very severe withdrawal symptoms.

For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex, if you have sex.

i have 7.5/325 oxycodone for pain. i hit the 4000 apap max for daily dose yesterday but stayed up all night. when is it safe to take more and not od?

Hmmm: 12-13 pills a day and you're worried about acetometophen overdose.  You are addicted to opiods and experiencing increased pain due to this.  Get help or you'll soon be wondering why 20-30 pills a day  isn't enough

if someone took oxycodone 6 times a day for many months then started skipping three consecutive doses of the regular six. so only taking it half the day and skipping half the day, would this produce any odd effects because of the long gap in between?

: The best thing you can do if pain is minimal is to continue to decrease the dosages. This drug can be highly addictive and it seems with 6 doses a day you may be on your way. Cut back now and contact your PCP for further advice.
