Ear pain: Many times its actually a muscular knot back there causing pain and imbalances because of pinched nerves.  Try massage therapy and u will be amazed how much better u will feel.

i was eating canned sardine with rice. there was a fruit fly in the oil. i put it on the side of the plate. but by accident, i ate it with the food. can this fruit fly infect my mouth,throat,stomach,intestines, other organs in my stomach &in my body?

: We all eat small insects all the time:  for every one you notice in or on your food, there probably are many others you don't notice. This is entirely harmless.

not food allergy/blood sugar related - -- get extreme fatigue/dry eye/soar throat abt 2 hours after eating meals- every meal.what is behind this?

System response: This does seem unusual. It may be that your system is becoming more cholinergic to foods. This means that there is an enhanced "fight or flight" response resulting in your symptoms. I would recommend smaller meals with simpler foods non-complex carbohydrates and simple proteins. Using simple antihistamines such as loratadine may be helpful if there is a histamine response to foods. I would also keep a food diary to determine if any foods or worse triggers and others. Deafly share this with your physician.

sore throat. rapid strep neg.  culture pend. i am eating popsicles, drinking herbal tea, pushing fluids and resting. md put me on medrol (methylprednisolone) dose pack.  is elderberry good? how do u take it?

Sore throat: Elderberry is no good, in fact may irritate it due to its acidity. I'd do salt water gargles instead. Rapid strep negative, good chance the culture will be negative. Medrol (methylprednisolone) should help, but sounds like an overkill in an uncomplicated sore throat.

Laryngoscope: If someone needs an emergency airway because they can't breathe on their own, the doctor inserts a laryngoscope so they can see the vocal cords to insert a breathing tube (endotracheal tube).

Uvula: I believe you are referring to that little hangy down thingy!  it is called the uvula.  Don't know the significance except that it always gets infected, swells up and causes a lot of people to ask this question.

Yes, but: Yes, but be aware of the dosage. Easly to overdose when treating a larger area.

Not usually: You do have lymph nodes on the back wall of the throat that could be enlarged, sometimes you can see the outline of spinal vertebrae. It could be other things, as well.  However, you really need to get this checked out with your doctor if it has been there for a whild.
