Trigger finger?: This sounds like a trigger finger.  Sometimes in more severe cases the finger gets 'stuck' and straightening it out is painful.  If it is just clicking, it might resolve by itself.  A cortisone injection can be very helpful (orthopedics or rheumatology), but you can probably wait and see.

C hand specialist: There r many possibilities. Cts, tendinitis, r a couple of causes. Also repetitive trauma/ overuse also really not able 2 answer specifically. Need more info exactly where, when, wrist or hand, always or with use, is there swelling or heat?

The : The wrist contains eight individual "carpal" bones that have a very complex relationship to one another. Each moves in a very complex coordinated manner as the wrist bends forwards and backwards. This coordination is facilitated by ligaments that connect these bones. If you had a fall or some sort of trauma in the past, you may have injured or torn one of these ligaments, and thus are left with what amounts to abnormal motion of the wrist bones relative to each out. A scapholunate dissociation would be an example of this. You may also have fractured a bone in your wrist that failed to heal correctly. This may seem improbable because you may not remember falling, but I have seen several of these cases come to clinic. The first step is to see a physician who can obtain and interpret radiographs of you hands and wrists, and examine you as well, to guide the workup of your concerns.

Carpal tunnel brace: A physical therapist should be able to fit you for a wrist brace, they usually work well, particularly at night in keeping the wrist extended.

Dequervain's tenosyn: Your history is classic for dequervain's tenosynovitis of the first extensor compartment this often responds well to a steroid injection. Sometimes surgical release is needed. See a hand surgeon!
