Many hairs can become synchronized when there is a big change in hormones, such as becoming pregnant, delivery, and/or breastfeeding. If your hair is synchronized to the telogen phase, you wil notice an increased hair loss. Be patient, your hair will stop falling out eventually. You are normal and you won't go bald.

Normal: Postpartum hair loss is common. It occurs because of the drop in hormone levels in your body after pregnancy. During pregnancy, your high levels of estrogen prevented your usual rate of hair loss. Once this hormone level drops, your hair will resume falling out at its normal rate and more up until 6-8 months after delivery. Hormonal birth control can increase your level of estrogen and reduce loss

: Given the history described, a number of endocrine related causes may be present.  With hair loss, weight gain and persistent absent ovulation/periods, PCOS and/or pituitary/ovarian abnormalities may exist.  Obtain a referral to an endocrinologist to make the diagnosis accurately.

Homeopathy & Levitra (vardenafil): Ask your homeopath, but Levitra (vardenafil) should not interfere with your homeopathic treatment.  If your homeopath is well trained & your body can recover from the hair loss (as in some cases of alopecia and trichitillomania, etc) you have a good chance of positive results.  Pharmaceuticals which more frequently interfere with homeopathic treatment are steroids and antibiotics.

You need to see your family doctor or a cardiologist and find out exactly what is causing them. It could be the rogaine (minoxidil), or just too much coffee - but it could be something more serious. Don't assume it's the rogaine (minoxidil).

Dandruff shampoo: Regular washes with dandruff shampoo are the best way to prevent dandruff.  You may need to shower daily or even twice a day.  In order to make your hair thick, eat well (fruit, vegetables, and protein) and take a multivitamin.  If that doesn't work, you might try taking Folic Acid or biotin which are essential ingredients for hair growth.  Thyroid or other medical problems may also thin hair.

See a dermatologist: Many different reasons for hair loss.  Thorough history, including family history & physical (is hair loss diffuse or frontal/vertex, shedding vs thinning), list of meds, supplements, etc. Is needed. You may need some bloodwork.  With any type of hair loss, the earlier it is treated, the better the results. Causes of hair loss include androgens, genetics, thyroid, anemia, and others.
