Define & use natural: If your baby is having firm stools that are hard to pass, i accept the label.If breast fed, stooling less often& skipping days i would leave it alone if still soft. Bf infants can stool a little every feed or a crib full once a week.Bottle fed kids are expected to go daily. I've had success with undiluted prune or apple juice, 1oz once or twice daily.Water may also help

Constipation: Is hard and infrequent stools. You can give a glycerin suppository once and see igf that helps. Baby may be crying if mom is breastfeeding and drinking milk, eating dairy. If using milk based formula then can also cause tummy ache. Baby could be colicky too.. Go see your doctor and discuss this. You will feel better and so will baby!

In severe cases your doctor might need to look for underlying problems.

If the kid is putting out dry rabbit pellets or stool bigger than your finger you can sometimes tease a stool out using vasaline on a q-tip  inserted to the length of the cotton & worked around.

Crying vs pain: Please do not get into the habit of equating crying with pain.  Babies cry for hours every single day. This is how they communicate, stretch out their lungs, get you to come and hold them, get you to feed them. Make sure you are burping well, swaddle baby so they feel more secure, make sure baby getting enough to eat. If questions about normal stool patterns and whether she is constipated, ask doc.
