A member asked:

How can you cure constipation in a newborn?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Is it really constip: It is important to know that newborns (that is up to one month of age) can have a bowel movement anywhere between 12 times a day to once a week and not be constipated. As long as they are comfortable, stool is soft and feeding well. If it is really constipation, then you might incorporate small amount of water into the diet. In severe cases your doctor might need to look for underlying problems.
