Get Tested: First, it depends on what you mean by your roommate being positive for tb.  Does that mean they have been actually diagnosed, or that their PPD skin test is positive?  A positive skin test does not necessarily mean one has tb.  However, TB is very contagious, so if you even suspect your roommate has tb, you need to isolate yourself and your children from said roommate and get everyone tested.

People : People with tuberculosis who have been on medication for at least 2 weeks are no longer contagious.  If your daughter met her roommate after this time frame, as long as the roommate continues therapy for as long as instructed by her doctor, your daughter will be fine.  If she was exposed to her roommate prior to the roommate's diagnosis and treatment, your daughter should have a PPD test placed by her doctor to assess her infection risk.
