TB: Early in the disease there may be no signs or symptoms and you can only know by TB skin tests or chest xray. In later stages people may develop cough with sputum production, fever, weight loss, fatigue and numerous other problems.

Typical symptoms: Classic TB presents with fevers, night sweats and weight loss. Chest x-ray can show pneumonia like changes, infiltrates with central cavities (holes) and as tiny diffuse nodules (known as miliary disease).

Quantiferon: Gamma-interferon assay (quantiferon) is now the gold standard test. Ppd is too user dependent and variables can alter result.
