several years ago i was diagnosed with a weak muscle in my rectum/anus. this gives me a problem. can anything be done to fix the weak muscle?

Weak anal sphincter: This depends on a couple of things. Where the weakness is secondary to disruption of the muscle (number one cause prior 4th degree episiotomy repair) or whether it is due to a pudendal nerve weakness (the nerve that innervates the muscle). The general answer of treatment options is divided between the two causes. A colon ; rectal surgeon can evaluate for you.

does that mean it won't work ?or how long would it take to notice improvement?

It's: safe but not "normal" There is corrective surgical relief for you!!! This weakness may worsen with age and should be dealt with before its a "bigger" problem!

Sphincter injury?: Poor control of stool and flatus after "anus trauma" raises the question of injury to the anal sphincter muscles.  While this would not give a clear answer about the increases perspiration it would certainly answer the odor and leakage.  You should see a colon and rectal surgeon.

why would stool gets trapped in anal canal after defecation and keeps leaking afterwards for hours that i have to wipe inside my anus to stop the leak. i went to 2 proctologist both say i have mild weakness in muscles but shouldn't affect continence?

Leakage: One possible explanation is that liquid fecal material can leak out around impacted hard stool. Perhaps you should try a course of stool softeners like colace on a daily basis to prevent hard stool buildup in the rectum. Also drink adequate amounts of fluid. Insert glycerin rectal suppositories or dulcolax suppositories as needed to empty rectal stool.

Rectal fissure: Fissures from constipation will cause rectal pain, less likely back pain per se. Muscles spasms are not common except for the muscles in the anal area. Decreased ability to feel stool is possible with chronic inflammation. Sphincter weakness is - "yes".

my back tenses up, pelvic floor feels stressed, muscles around anus gets sore until i pass stool that's in my rectum. weak pfm. how to alleviate this?

Soften stool/diet,,,: Likely the best way to stop this is by getting more fruits and vegetables in your diet.  This way your stools may be softened and so there'd be less pain with bowel movements.  The stress would also likely be reduced.  If there is still pain/stress with movements, you might want to see your doctor for an exam and recommendation for otc stool softeners or get a prescription for one.  Good luck.

Masturbation: You have mistaken ideas about masturbation. It will not make you weak, not matter how often you do it. Eat whatever you want; food has nothing to do with sex drive or masturbation.
