No: Athma attack results in lowering of oxygen level in blood.  Affected individuals feel shortness of breath and hyperventilate to increase oxygen level leading to swallowing of excessive amount of air.  As a consequence, young children often feel nauseated or actually vomit during the asthma attack.

Cough: A cough can be a symptom is asthma. Often there are triggers like colds that cause it. There is often associated shortness of breath and wheezing. Keep a record of your symptoms  and review this with your doctor. You can get lung tests that help with the diagnosis and asthma medications to see if you respond to them. I don't see a history of smoking which is good. You may need a CXR. All the best

Allergy reaction?: Perhaps your asthma attack could have been caused by an allergy to something. If you are having an all-over allergy reaction, perhaps that could give you the ants-all-over feeling. Absolutely take your inhaler and antihistamine (like zyrtec (cetirizine) or allegra), and if you get worse (like with constricted breathing worsening), then go to the er to make sure this is not an anaphylactic reaction!

: No, you should not be just because that inhaler contains sulfate. You expose to sulfur everyday in life.
You are allergic to sulfa antibiotic group but not allergic to any compounds which contain sulfur (S).

Time for a visit: Call your doc and schedule a visit in the next few days. Asthma by itself should not trigger fever and chills.You may have been exposed to something a bit more worrisome than humidity in that basement.Infections are a common trigger to a flare in stable asthma.
