i have a yeast infection and took the medicine i was given... they said to use an anti itch cream to stop the itching but now it itches and burns more?

Yeast Infection: You must be reacting to the anti-itch cream. The vagina as you know is very sensitive to things.  In the future use antihistamine pills for itching and leave the anti-itch creams for your skin or the garbage can.

See below: If you have itch with white (sometimes chalky) discharge that does not have a fishy odor, then you likely have a yeast infection. You can try Monistat or one of the other OTC meds for this. However, these may not be effective. In that case, your doctor can prescribe a prescription anti-fungal. Would recommend until it clears up before having sex.

Yeast infxn: Many formerly prescription anti-yeast medications are now available over-the-counter w/o prescription. I believe you're referring to fluocinonide (http://www.drugs.com/mtm/fluocinonide-topical.html) which is a potent steroid. While it's useful to stop skin from itching, I wouldn't recommend for a yeast infxn. Instead, you can try OTC stuff prior to seeing your doc who can confirm it's yeast.

can you get an infection from your vibrator? i clean it after every use but my vagina is on fire and itches so bad what could it be? yeast infection?

Vibrator hygiene: Vibrators should be cleansed after every use with mild soap and water, and if it is plastic and not latex  a rubbing alcohol "wipe off". Some vibrators will accept a condom covering prior to use which minimizes pH changes. If the vibrator still has soap or oil based lubricants on it pH changes yielding yeast infections are common. Have your GYN MD examine the vaginal discharge for an infection.

May not be yeast: There are other vaginal infections or non-infectious conditions that can cause itching. Also, yeast can sometimes be resistant to the traditional medicines. You should probably consult with your gynecologist and have additional testing done.

ive had recurrent yeast infection for a while, developed bumps on vulva recently, saw a doctor, had an hvs test, showed +++ for yeast and epidermal, finished drugs, itch stopped but bumps persist and now the bump itches me?

Possible: another type of infection causing problems.  Could also be related to carb sensitivity/insulin resistance/polycystic ovarian syndrome. Discuss with your doctor for further testing/treatment options.

Yeast infection: Yeast infection normally would not cause bumps on the vagina. It can be disturbing in that it causes itchy discharge. If you do have fungal infection on the skin adjacent to the vagina, it can cause bumps, though. Without someone looking at you, it's really hard to tell what those are.

OTC meds: If you have some cash go the pharmacy and get some monostat.  Use as directed.  If it is not resolving it is time to talk to mom.

Possibly: Most likely the answer is yes. If you have never had a yeast infection before, see a doctor first to make the correct diagnosis. Yeast infections are very common, especially in the summer months and after taking certain types of antibiotics and easily cured with over the counter medication. Rarely, it may also be a symptom of other health problems like uncontrolled diabetes or immune disorders.

Probiotics: Probiotics are a good home remedy.  You don't mention if you have vaginal discharge or redness of your labia.  Your symptoms may be due to yeast, bacterial vaginosis or a UTI.  You may want to see a doctor to be sure.
