MRSA-not a virus -: A bacteria-  it can survive on objects for days to months depending upon the conditions in the environment (temperature, humidity, etc).  It is very hard to get rid of as it also colonizes people (armpits, nostrils) and can easily be transferred back and forth from the environment to the person.  Disinfecting the house as much as possible is important.  Also antibiotics for those who are colonized.

Tough one!: How long have you had this feeling?  Do you have any back problems? Have you injured the area?  Do you have diabetes or other medical problems?  Also, early symptoms of shingles (herpes zoster) can cause a feeling of hypersenistivity before the rash breaks out.  If your problem continues, see a doc.

Hydrogen peroxide: Hydrogen peroxide is a great cleaner of wounds and it doesn't burn like rubbing alcohol or even tap water does.  It will bubble up a lot but this is cleanning the wound out.

Vacuum; wash clothes: To feel safe after the family had scabies or head lice, one can vacuum everywhere, and wash the washables (sheets, clothes) and dry them with the hot setting if the fabric allows it. Live mainly in one "safe room" that's super clean, and wait 10 days before living in the rest of the home. If extremely worried, repeat the vacuuming and washing once more, before living in the rest of the home.

No !!: Unless you are somehow putting clothing into your mouth none of this gets into your colon. If you are unclear on the anatomy, go to your doctor and ask for an explanation. Stop worrying, and buy a less cheaply made robe !!

can fungus from athletes foot live on carpet and then spread to any clothes that are laying on that carpet? i have some clean laundry piled on my carpet and i am paranoid as i have athletes foot at the moment (it is being treated)?

: Fungus in active and in spore form can last on clothes/ carpets etc for a long time. You are not paranoid. Have the carpet washed/ cleaned (if it can be) with antiseptic means. Do your clothes with detergents which kill the fungus. Good luck

Unfortunately...: with neuropathic pain, diagnostic tests and blood tests are not always highly specific and even sophisticated imaging techniques may not reveal the true source of the pain. Neuropathic pain is one of the most challenging and complex pain conditions to manage.
