In the USA E. coli o157:h7 is a more common strain.Each produces a toxin (shiga) which can disrupt colon cells causing bloody diarrhea or destroy kidney cells &amp; lead to HUS.

Many products out there promise to remove "toxins" and charge a lot of money for it.  You almost certainly are wasting your money.  Your liver and kidneys do an excellent job removing toxins without bogus products.  Other toxins are best avoided (ie mercury) make sure you know which.

Water soluble toxins are cleared better than fat soluble ones.

I dont think you can: All you have to do is google "body detoxification" and you will find hundreds, perhaps thousands, of methods and products to help the body detox itself.  However, I have not seen any scientific studies that prove that such a thing happens, or that any of these things work.  As far as i know, only time works, and it works well.  A healthy diet, exercise and a positive attitude helps you feel better.
