See your dentist: Lockjaw and trismus and TMJ disorders are all different things.  Lockjaw is also known as tetanus and is a serious infection.  Trismus refers to difficulty or decreased openign of the jaw.  This is sometimes due to muscle spasms or can be due to TMJ disorders.  A dentist needs to do a thorough exam in order to diagnose the problem.

Lots o little things: Trismus: the inability to open normally, after an oral procedure can be frustrating (after all you were trying to improve your mouth, right). Warm moist compresses, alternating cold packs, anti-inflammatories (e.g.: motrin), massage and stretching side to side can help. Before anything else consult with the provider of the procedure as the solution can be very specific to your situation.

But smile...Most of the time this all goes away.  If it lasts longer than a few weeks then call the doctor and talk to them.
