COVID 19 concerns: This will likely be ok. Although droplets have been measured to travel a distance of around 20 feet - that is when there is vigorous coughing and it is pointed in a particular direction.  In this situation, patients who appear to be ill, will probably not be allowed in the facility. Additionally, the dental chairs will likely be parallel to each other - rather than facing each other.

what is the best allergy med (most safe) if a patient has had seizures?  my daughter (18) was taking zyrtec, rhinocort,  &advair for allergies & mild asthma prior to having seizures that began almost a yr. ago.  to air on the safe side he took her off all

Fexofenadine: Tough to say which is safest and if any can contribute to sezures in your daughter, but fexofenadine (allegra) does not cross the blood brain barrier. That is the reason it does not cause drowsiness. And because it does not cross the blood brain barrier, it likely has limited ability to contribute to your daughters seizures.

Just be careful !: In a recent review from the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, asthma in general was not an increase risk factor and they suggested to use your asthma medicines for good control. It does not differentiate allergic vs not allergic asthma. In general, I would suggest to be extra careful with social distancing and washing hands

Word games: Asthma is a  condition where factors that try to close airways (protecting them from toxic exposures like gasses) or open to resume breathing are not in balance. Re-opening after a trigger is slowed &amp; often needs help. Allergies are just one of the factors that can trigger the protective closing in some. Asthma is asthma. Triggers differ from person to person.
