Usually not: Patients with acute prostatitis, whose symptoms resolve after completing their full course of treatment, usually do not need repeat urine cultures.  However, if your symptoms persist or recur, then see your dr for likely repeat urine culture.  If it was determined that your prostatitis was due to gonorrhea or chlamydia, then you should consider retest in 3 months to rule out re-infection.
