Orthostatism: Well... Postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome has an origin in the autonomic nervous system and is unrelated to anxiety. A general anxiety disorder is not a cause of orthostatic tachycardia.The two entities while unrelated can theoretically coexist in the same individual.

POTS is chronic: Ortho static intolerance is defined as the development of symptoms which occur when standing and relieved with lying down. This can acutely because of dehydration or abnormalities in heart rate and the central nervous system. POTS syndrome is a type of central nervous system disorder that causes  chronic ortho static intolerance.

IMHO: In my humble opinion, the better part of valor here would be to forego giving blood. It would certainly make your pots worse and the blood bank staff would prefer not to have someone pass out during the procedure!

Blood test: Addison's is diagnosed by blood testing.  Orthostatic blood pressure/pulse testing, clinical analysis, and other conditions ruled out are used for the other two.

Adrenergic stimulati: Abnormal and excessive secretion of catecholamines due to sympathetic nervous system stimulation secondary to changes in position (due to gravity effects on circulating intravascular volume).  This unchecked catecholamine surge causes a stimulation of heart rate.

You're a Star: Great to hear that you are following your doctors' instructions.  Fatigue is a difficult symptom to assess/treat ; can is variably responsive to treatment unless a specific cause can be found.  Either of your conditions (see poster) or the combination of both can cause fatigue.  First thing to do is rule out anything else that could be a player such as thyroid, anemia, kidney, or liver problems.

i have postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome so i drink 2.5litres water/powerade a day but i urinate loads. is this normal? im not diabetic.

Get with your doctor: Of course you're going to urinate lots if your drink this much fluid. I trust it helps your pots some and if it doesn't bother you, fine. Have you been offered rx with fludrocortisone? Propranolol? It is your choice just how aggressively this is treated; its severity varies greatly. Glad you're taking a proactive role in your care.
