An echocardiogram may be ordered to evaluate cardiac valves, murmurs and wall motion abnormalities. A carotid ultrasound to check for the degree of calcification/narrowing of your carotid You should discuss with your M.D, the reason he's ordering these tests.

No: Ultrasound exams use sound waves to produce the images, and are painless.  Some ultrasounds are performed with a transducer inside the body (vagina, rectum, throat), there may be some discomfort associated with the transducer placement.

Transaminitis: There are many reasons for you to have a slightly elevated AST level.  It is even possible this is a normal variant!  Common reasons includse excess alcohol, cholesterol or acetaminophen use.  Less common causes include viral hepatitis and autoimmune phenomenon.

Not necessary: An ultrasound is a painless exam.  There should be no need for an anxiolytic medication.  If you have a condition that will cause you to have undue anxiety for an ultrasound, you should discuss it with your physician so that proper measures can be taken, and medication prescribed in the rare event that it is needed.

Likely normal: That ultrasound reading may be a normal finding.  If symptoms of gallbladder disease persist, further testing may be helpful.  A nuclear cholangiogram can sometimes show if the gallbladder is emptying properly, or if it has signs of obstruction that are not clear on the ultrasound.

right testical repositioned compared to left one. ultrasound test results were normal.i still have very little pain in right testicle. please advise.

Don't sweat it: If the us was negative, i would not worry about it. Just take some otc Ibuprofen as needed for the pain. If it does not resolve in a month, see your doc.
