R/O CELLULITIS: Cellulitis is a superficial skin infection that can be caused after an abrasion or rupture of a boil . Keep the area clean and apply topical antibiotics. Seek prompt evaluation for potential need of oral antibiotics/X-ray /labs/wound culture. F/U with your doctor if symptoms persist or worsen, oral antibiotics may be needed.

Need more info: Sorry to hear about your knee. "crushed " doesn't sound good but i need more information to give u an answer. It would be best to look @ your x-rays and arthroscopic photos( if u have had your knee 'scoped') @ a minimum to give you your tx. Alternatives.Best of luck!

Anti-inflamm. Diet: Ankylosing spondylitis is a systemic, inflammatory condition that can lead to chronic back pain.  Because it is systemic, topical treatments are unlikely to have much affect long term.  There is some thought that an antiinflammatory diet can reduce inflammation levels in the body and can potentially have a dramatic affect.

You should stop or reduce the activity which exacerbates the pain or discomfort, take Ibuprofen (Motrin, Advil) 200 mg x 2 (OTC med) every 6-8 hours as needed for 1-3 days then resuming the activity at a slow pace.
You should see a doctor if there is sign of inflammation for a correct diagnosis
