had folliculometry 12/11,today 12/13 lead follicle had ruptured. had sex last 12/11, i know i can pinpoint when it actually occurred but does it still make sense to have sex today even when the egg released may or may no longer be available ?

?soon: You have not ovulated yet as evidenced by the Progesterone of 0.2. Your follicle is not yet ovulatory size either. It sounds like you may still ovulate in this cycle but it is hard to predict when. You could try using the ovulation predictor kits.

Impossible: Since spermatozoa live for five days inside of the female either man may be the father. You will have to have paternity testing once the baby is born.

See below: It is not how many - but how big each follicle is - you should have at least one that is 17 to 20mm.

Hard to say: Sounds like it would be fairly good.  Be sure that you are taking adequate amounts of Folic Acid (at least 1 mg or 1000 mcg) each day to help prevent birth defects.

Can't say: There is no way to say exactly when it ruptured any more than you can say when a balloon burst or a cup of water spilled unless you observe it. That said, the most fertile time includes a couple of days before and after ovulation so you should still be able to conceive. Best wishes. Hope this helps.

Depends: Depends on your diagnosis.  Iui may not improve pregnancy rates for all women (ie those that do not ovulate and partner has a normal sperm count during first few cycles of therapy) but is certainly beneficial for unexplained infertility, minimal endometriosis and some other diagnoses.

? and kill baby ?: Premature rupture of membranes removes the protective envelope that shields the fetus from germs. They likely have you there hoping your membranes will reseal, or in case they detect infection and need to do an emergency c-section to save baby. The worst thing you can do is introduce any chance of more germs entering the vagina. I have seen a mom and baby both die from that process.  Abstain!!!
