Avoid the next one!!: It's been a long time (med school) since i had to try to figure that one out.   It would seem that all of your suggestions would make one even sicker. Why put yourself through that again--2 times in my life were enough for me. The same way 2 cigs were. Suggest finding  your own tolerance for etoh, drink under that, 1drink 1hour max before driving (or dd), and learn how much more fun party is sober.

NSAIDS: Otc nsaids (ibuprofen) are good place to start.  Home stretching and warm moist heat is also good.  Local massage can help.  You can also take Motrin and tylenol (acetaminophen) alternating as they have different mechanisms as to how they help with the pain.

Ans: Most likely you straine a muscle. Try heat over the back and do passive stretching exercises. Will help may take a few weeks to be back to normal

Meds: Asa and Ibuprofen could potentially cause kidney and stomach problems. Paracetamol is probably safer unless you have liver problems or if you tend to drink too much alcohol

Omeprazole: Proton pump inhibitor drugs like omeprazole (prilosec) can protect your stomach from ulcers. However if you are only taking it for a week your chances of getting an ulcer are small. Usually ulcers develop in people taking anti-inflammatory drugs like ibuprofen for extended periods of time.
