: No connection.
A variety of causes of Vitamin B12 deficiency : Loss of part of stomach, e.g., weight loss surgery; atrophic gastritis, pernicious anemia; use of proton pump inhibitors such as Nexium and Prilosec; heavy consumption of alcohol; Crohn's disease, Celiac disease.

if you have low iron stores following a blood test, can that lead to anemia? is there a recommended dosage of iron supplement to help restore levels.

Yes and yes: The first thing to go down low is the iron storage. If you don't fix it- eventually you are going to become anemic. Yes, you can take iron supplement by mouth 3x/day. But most importantly is to find why your iron is low. You should have a GI work-up- egd and colonosocpy and check your urine- to check blood in urine. If + blood in urine- you need imaging study, perhaps  urologist etc. Go to see gp.

I : I think you might be referring to iron deficiency anemia. It is common.  Because the body doesnâ€™t have enough iron, it canâ€™t make enough hemoglobin. The hemoglobin carries oxygen in the blood cells.   Talk to your doctor about eating foods that are rich in iron and about iron supplementation.

i know that iron pills in scd are useless because of rapid rbc death but what about the trait? is iron helpful in iron def. anemia with sct?

Production,destructi: Think of a 2 part system; one side produces something and one side destroys same thing. In SC disease the person has a hemoglobin which has enough iron but the RBC is not flexible enough so it is destroyed more readily by the body. It is not a problem with too little being made (iron deficiency) but a problem with excess destruction.

Need for check up: From what you have stated, you have iron deficiency anemia. Despite your claim, you are not likely to be allergic to iron per se. You may not have reacted well to a give preparation. Iron can be given intravenously in one dose to make up for loses. However, there are other issues that require in-person evaluation and it would be prudent to consult your doctor to rule out thyroid or other issues.

No, it is pretty saf: I do not know of any serious harm from neurobion. But i doubt that it will do you any good. So stay away from such unproven medicines. There is no medical condition called low BP in a otherwise healthy person.

BREATHE: Let yourself relax, if you can.  Your body fights infection by increasing white blood cells, which prompted your doctor to prescribe the antibiotic to assist. You'll see the dentist tomorrow (today being sunday), and s/he can deal with the tooth.  Take in slow, deep breath to the count of 4, hold for 7 counts, and breathe out through mouth to count of 8.  Repeat x 4. Can do this to relax. Be well.

Means nothing: A high serum b6 is just a distractor. The vitamins aren't that smart. You need to find the cause of your anemia -- this is always a serious business.
